Oh I'm *WELL* aware of that situation Doomie ... as I happened to be online at the time it all went down and "heard" the conversation in Coalition chat.
At the moment though, only Lin and myself are members of the SG ... so I don't really have a problem with editing rights at this time ...
Heck, you even had editing rights while you were on the roster, and nothing bad happened then, now did it? |

Shouldn't be a huge problem, considering SK is just Red, Doomie, and myself.
The bigger concern is that, since Redlynne has been pretty much editing the base solo for its whole history, anything done in the sandbox is going to be under very tight scrutiny. More often than not, when I discuss some base building idea with Red, the immediate answer is something along the lines of, "That's dumb."
Also, if something comes up that involves migrating the base to a bigger plot and adding rooms, the sandbox room gets deleted first to recover the prestige.
So my plan is to go in, do it like I like it, and screencap all of it before it gets blown away. It's a pretty good idea to have backups, in any case. |

Grit ...
You have GOT to log in and see what the base has turned into.
(besides, you haven't logged into any of your characters in over 400 days, and that's just not right!) |

Just chiming in my 2 cents on the lag issue, most of you have comps that by all due rights and specs, should blow mine out of the water. I'm running my Alienware, of which I have had to replace the motherboard. Currently running Intel P4 with 2 gig of ram, Invidia 9600 GTX OC, and have only experienced the lag issue in the base one time, which was shortly after the announcement came from the Devs to cut out the base editing because they found a problem with the servers. Haven't played much since then, but when I do, not much lag going on.. and I have my graphics Maxed out. So, I would have to say that the lag issues may very well be combinations of graphics settings and connection issues as well as overall population and active powers problems. Sooooooooo, yeah. |
